I specialize in self-compassion training and nervous system regulation. I equip my clients to practice mindfulness from a foundation of embodiment and trauma sensitivity.
When you struggle to be present, I show you gentle doorways into presence.
When your inner voice is harsh and critical, I teach you what compassion sounds like.
When you are hijacked by stress, anxiety and worry, I help you understand what your underlying needs are and how to get those needs met.
When you feel stuck in loops of argument and resentment with your kids or spouse, I teach you how to communicate with clarity.
We work 1:1 to regulate your nervous system, develop unconditional self-compassion, and learn to use the tool of holistic mindfulness in the most effective way possible.

Hi. I’m Afton.
I love this stuff. It’s my jam.
I am an RYT 500 yoga teacher, trauma sensitive mindfulness instructor, and self-compassion expert. My work with clients draws from decades of professional education and personal experience.
I have sustained a rigorous and heartfelt inquiry in the field of meditation and mindfulness for 20 years. The path was not a straight line, but it continues to be a beautiful journey.
I am currently working towards a MS in Clinical Counseling; I intend to offer couples therapy with an emphasis in somatic counseling.
I am a published illustrator, a committed partner and a mother to four phenomenal children. My kids are, without a doubt, my most humbling teachers. I find immense joy in dancing and growing flowers.
